GalenusJobs, an employment platform serving for Healthcare & Life Sciences professionals.

It is an old debate in health sector if Spain have enough professionals (mainly doctors and nurses) or if they are in the communities and cities where most needed. Due to historical causes of low mobility (it is difficult for Spaniards to leave their city to study or work) it is usually considered that there are enough, but that the market is inefficient, and they are not where most needed.

The problem is aggravated by the better terms offered by Portuguese and northern Europe countries, healthcare companies, which make more attractive offers, especially to nurses and physicians. The healthcare crisis created by Covid-19 coronavirus has remarked the difficulty of filling many openings in most Autonomous Communities and in both the public and private sectors.

The employment platform specialized in Health, GalenusJobs has been communicating specific offers for healthcare personnel in hospitals, clinics, laboratories, dentists, pharmacies, etc. since 2019. His entire focus is on the Health and Life Sciences sector.

As a result of this health crisis, GalenusJobs has put its portal at the service of the health community, with all its dissemination capacity of 700,000 monthly visits, plus the extended reach of social networks with thousands of followers on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. Job offer´s registration is simple and intuitive; its dissemination and access is totally free until the health alert ends.

Among some announcements, there is an offer from the Madrid Health Service, Sermas, another from the Ministry of Health of the Generalitat Valenciana, from the Health and Community Foundation, which selects personnel for Residences for the Elderly, from the Juan Cardona Ferrol Hospital or Head of Urology position in Gijón (Asturias).
